More than 50 illegal immigrants coming from Belarus were caught near the village of Bialowieza in Poland. “This was not a peaceful night; numerous attempts to cross the Polish border were made. According to information I obtained from Polish Army Command reports and Border Protection statements, all those who crossed the border were detained.” Mairusz Blaszczak, Poland’s Minister of National Defense said. He announced that they increased the number of soldiers serving on the Polish-Belarusian border from 12,000 to 15,000.

Speaking at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tianjin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan criticized the international community for failing to stop Israel’s attacks on Gaza, where he said “babies, children, and the elderly die of starvation.” He called for urgent UN reform, arguing the current system cannot end oppression in the Middle East.
