Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk told parliament that Russian drones violated Poland’s airspace 19 times overnight, with some entering from Belarus for the first time. He confirmed three drones were shot down and warned the number could rise.
Tusk said Poland received the first attack signal at 10:06 PM, with violations continuing until 6:30 AM. Fragments of seven drones and one missile were later found in the Lublin and Lodz regions, damaging a house and a car.
Calling the incidents “a war Russia has declared against the Western world,” Tusk urged NATO to activate Article 4 for consultations. President Karol Nawrocki announced he will convene the National Security Council within 48 hours.
