Polish National Revenue Administration officials seized 121,000 packages of illegal cigarettes on the train that entered the country through the Siemianowka railway border gate between Belarus and Poland. Officers uncovered cardboard boxes filled with cigarette packs soaked in synthetic liquid resin during the search. Train personnel were detained. It was stated that the market value of cigarettes was 1.8 million zloty (approximately €400,000), and an investigation was launched regarding the issue.
