Hundreds of people gathered in Republique Square in Paris, the capital of France, to protest police violence and demand those responsible for the killings in custody be brought to justice. The demonstrators held banners saying, “We want justice,” “No to the laws of Dharma,” “No to police violence,” and “We do not accept foreign discrimination by the state.”
Some demonstrators, who stated that there were disappearances in custody due to discrimination by the state in overseas colonies of France, chanted, “May those who committed the murders be brought to justice.”
