Damian Sobol, one of the 7 World Central Kitchen aid workers killed by the Israeli army in Deir el-Balah, Gaza Strip, on April 1, was bid farewell with a funeral ceremony in Sw. Jozef XX Salezjanie church in his hometown of Przemysl, Poland.
The ceremony was attended by Palestine’s Ambassador to Warsaw Mahmoud Khalifa and WCK Founder Jose Andres.
For his heroic behavior, Sobol was awarded the Polish Order of Rebirth, one of Poland’s top badges.
