Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of Catholics, was discharged from Gemelli Hospital in the capital Rome, where he was admitted on February 14 with a diagnosis of “acute respiratory failure.”

Minutes before setting out to the Vatican with a motorcade, the Catholic leader greeted the crowd waiting for him outside and expressed his gratitude from the hospital’s balcony.

Doctors stated that it would take a very long time for the Pope’s aging body to fully recover and that Pope Francis would need to rest for another 2 months in the Vatican.
