A 7.7-magnitude earthquake hit Myanmar near Sagaing, followed by a 6.4 aftershock. The quake caused significant damage, including the collapse of a bridge over the Irrawaddy River. Search and rescue teams were deployed. Tremors were also felt in Thailand and China’s Yunnan and Shaanxi provinces.
