An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 occurred in Peru. The epicenter of the earthquake was 33 kilometers southwest of Mala, about 100 kilometers south of the capital Lima.
No deaths or injuries were reported, and no tsunami warning was issued.
Following peace talks in Istanbul, Russia and Ukraine resumed airstrikes. Ukrainian drone strikes in Sochi killed two and injured 11, leading to a four-hour suspension at Sochi Airport. Russia’s defense systems shot down 39 Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea and Sea of Azov.
Meanwhile, Russian attacks on Odessa injured at least four people, targeting the Pryvoz market, and strikes in the Cherkasy region injured seven. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy condemned the ongoing attacks despite ceasefire proposals discussed in Istanbul. The peace talks also resulted in an agreement for the exchange of military and civilian prisoners.
