Following his contacts at the G-20 summit held in New Delhi, the capital of India, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the mausoleum of India’s founding leader Mahatma Gandhi with other leaders. Greeted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the entrance of the monument, President Erdoğan laid a wreath at the monument.
After the visit, during which Gandhi’s favorite hymns were played, President Erdoğan and other leaders went to the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Centre, where the summit took place.
