A Bombardier Challenger 300 type aircraft that landed at San Fernando Airport in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, skidded off the runway and crashed into houses in a residential area near the airport, causing fire and damage in the area.
The 2 pilots in the aircraft lost their lives and a 73-year-old man living in one of the houses the plane hit was reportedly injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to the Argentine press, the pilots tried to accelerate and take off again after a problem occurred during landing and veered off the runway.
