Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gökoğlu, an academician at Akdeniz University Fisheries Faculty, rescued a grouper fish, which was stuck in a plastic bottle thrown into the sea during his dive with his students off Konyaaltı Beach in Antalya, Türkiye.

“We always see objects like buckets get stuck in the heads of foxes, bears, dogs or cows in nature, and now we have seen a grouper getting stuck in the head with a plastic bottle. This is a good example of how garbage thrown into the sea harms a living creature,” said Gökoğlu.
