Progress Made in Izmir Forest Fire

After 18 hours, firefighting efforts have improved against a forest fire that started in Izmir, Türkiye. Strong winds initially caused the flames to spread, prompting evacuations in Gaziemir’s Sarnıç District. However, the threat to residential areas has lessened, and residents have begun to return home. Firefighting teams continue to work to fully control the blaze.
