Protective walls build in Afghanistan against erosions

Protective walls along Afghanistan’s Amu River have been completed, announced Abdul Hakim Hajji Hekmat, director of the rivers management authorities in the northern region. The walls safeguard riverside areas in Khamab and Qarqin districts of Jawzjan province, protecting residential houses and arable lands from erosion.

The Amu River, a natural border with Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, has caused soil erosion in recent years.
