The protests that began after the Council of Europe partially approved the pension reform continue in France. During a recent protest, a brawl broke out between the protesters and the police, and the demonstrators set garbage containers in the streets on fire.
The leading unions in the country made a joint statement and stated that they would not accept any meeting requests from the government. The unions urged all workers to take action on May 1.
