Protests against rising living costs began yesterday in Tabriz, Iran, and quickly spread to Ahvaz, Ilam, Bandar Abbas, Isfahan, Keraj, and Kerman. Hundreds of retirees who were dissatisfied with their salary increases took to the streets today demand to increase their salary and an improvement in their social rights. Retirees demonstrated in front of social security institutions to protest the government. During the protests, slogans such as “The promises made are empty, our tables are empty,” “We will not sit down without our rights,” and “Today is a day of mourning for the unclaimed retirees” were chanted, aimed at President Ibrahim Reisi and Labor Minister Hojjat Abdol-Maleki.

Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, was flooded with sewage after a sewer line burst during Israeli attacks on the city. Already operating under severe shortages, the hospital faced further disruption as doctors, nurses, and patients struggled in hazardous conditions. Authorities are working to address the damage.
