A public holiday was declared throughout Iraq due to the heavy rain and flooding in the country. The most affected cities in the country were Baghdad, Al Anbar, Erbil, Mosul, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, Al Diwaniyah, and Kirkuk. In the country’s north, individuals were struck by lightning in Duhok and Erbil, and three people died as a result of electrocution in Babylon.

On the 8th day of the Iran-Israel conflict, an Iranian missile struck the area near the Microsoft building in Beersheba, injuring six people and causing heavy damage. The Iron Dome failed to intercept the missile, which ignited fires and damaged residential buildings and vehicles. Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated, “The Zionist enemy is being punished.”
