Russian President Vladimir Putin and Oman’s Sultan Heysem bin Tariq held their first official meeting in Moscow, marking 40 years of diplomatic ties. The leaders discussed trade, energy, and investment opportunities, and signed 11 cooperation agreements, including a mutual visa exemption for ordinary passport holders.
They also addressed ongoing indirect nuclear negotiations between the US and Iran, where Oman is playing a mediation role. Putin emphasized plans for a Russia-Arab summit later this year.
