During his official visit to Doha, US President Donald Trump announced that Qatar Airways has placed a historic $200 billion aircraft order with Boeing—the largest in the company’s history.
Following a high-level meeting between Trump and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, several agreements were signed, including a joint declaration to strengthen bilateral ties, a defense cooperation letter of intent, and an agreement for the sale of MQ-90 unmanned aerial vehicles.
President Trump stated, “We made comprehensive evaluations on Iran, the Russia-Ukraine war, and regional stability. The Boeing deal is a record-breaking step in our trade relations.”
Emir Al Thani called the agreements a milestone, saying, “Our relations with the US have reached a new level.”
