After the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes that struck Kahramanmaraş, aid to Türkiye and Syria continues. The first batch of 10,000 mobile houses were sent by Qatar for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria, departing from the Hamad Port.
According to Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Kuwari, Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development, there are 306 mobile houses on board, and another 400–500 mobile houses will be shipped again this week. Al-Kuwari added that despite the modest size of these houses , they are equipped with all necessary amenities, such as bathrooms, kitchen equipment and a living room.
