A United Airlines Boeing 737 en route from Denver to Edmonton made an emergency landing after a rabbit entered the engine during takeoff, causing it to catch fire. The right engine shut down mid-flight, prompting the pilot to return to Denver. All 159 passengers and crew were safely evacuated with no injuries. Passengers reported panic onboard after seeing flames.
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that 142 more people were killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza in the past 24 hours, raising the total death toll to 57,012 since October 7, 2023. An additional 487 people were injured. Israel’s strikes during humanitarian aid distributions also killed 39 and injured 210, bringing the aid-related death toll to 640.
