Authorities took action to prevent the railroad tracks from freezing in Chicago city of Illinois state, US. After the air temperature in the city dropped down to 1 degree below zero, the railroad tracks were set on fire in a controlled manner so that the train services would not be interrupted. While the railroad tracks were prevented from freezing, the trains continued their journey through the flames.
