A flock of glossy ibises (Plegadis falcinellus), a rare and declining migratory bird species, was spotted for the first time in Karakoçan district of Elazığ, eastern Türkiye. The birds were filmed by a local resident, Azmi Dep, near a wetland area where the species is known to thrive. The glossy ibis is threatened due to habitat loss and is recognized for its long, curved beak.
