In Türkiye’s Munzur Mountains, stretching between Erzincan and Tunceli at 3,300 meters, endangered chamois goats have been captured on drone footage as winter approaches. The recent snowfall has transformed the high altitudes into a stunning white landscape, drawing out various wild species. The goats, typically inhabiting the upper reaches, are also descending to lower elevations around 1,000 meters, showcasing the area’s thriving wildlife amidst breathtaking scenery.
In Hatay, Türkiye, excavator operator Bülent Kuyucu paused work for 27 days to protect a dove’s nest on his machine. Kuyucu did not work to avoid disturbing the birds until the dove chicks safely flew away.
Kuyucu said he accepted the financial loss but was happy to see the doves leave unharmed.
