A weary duck, fatigued during its migration through Sinop, was discovered by concerned citizens. They promptly delivered the exhausted bird to the Sinop Sarıkum Wild Animal Rescue Center Chief’s Office teams for care. Under their attentive supervision, the duck recuperated its strength over the course of a week. Following the completion of its treatment, the officer overseeing its recovery released the revitalized duck into Sarıkum Lake.
Türkiye’s Oruç Reis seismic vessel has completed a 234-day mission in Somali waters, where it collected 3D data across 4,464 square kilometers.
The ship, sent by President Erdoğan in October 2024, is now returning to Türkiye with naval support. It is expected to arrive in early July via the Suez Canal.
The data will be analyzed in Ankara to prepare for future offshore drilling near Somalia.
