The northern hemisphere witnessed the first solar eclipse of the year. The eclipse called the “Ring of Fire” as the Moon did not cover the Sun completely. During the eclipse, the Moon covered 90 percent of the Sun, while a thin and bright circle resembling a ring of fire formed around the Moon. The solar eclipse could be seen in Germany, Spain, Canada, Siberia, England, northern Russia and northern USA.
