Road Collision injured Nine British Tourists in Antalya

In a collision between a car and a tour minibus in Manavgat, a district in the Turkish city of Antalya, nine British tourists and the car driver were injured. The driver, found to be significantly over the legal alcohol limit, is suspected of running a red light, leading to the collision.

The accident unfolded on the Manavgat-Alanya D-400 Highway. The tour minibus, under the helm of Ramazan Yıldız, was transporting British tourists from Antalya Airport to their respective hotels. The minibus collided with a car driven by Kadir Sönmez. The impact caused the car to be dragged about 50 meters, and the minibus rolled over onto the central median.

Emergency responders provided immediate aid to the injured tourists at the scene, with medical teams treating them on the grassy median until ambulances arrived. One notable scene captured was of a young British boy, continuing to play on his tablet next to his injured parents as they awaited medical treatment.

The injured tourists have been identified as Joanne Sharples (54), David Pratt (56), Liam David (19), Bethany Louise Mcguire (18), Oliver Ryan Broadbent (14), Thomas Alan Stone (39), Jenna Hayley Stone (32), Benjamin Blake Galloway (10), Natalie McCall (36), along with car driver, Kadir Sönmez. Security camera footage has captured the incident, and the investigation is currently underway.”
