A rocket attack was carried out at 04:00 local time near the building of the US Embassy in Baghdad, located in the sheltered Green Zone where government offices and foreign missions are located in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. At least four explosions were heard in the area, and the warning sirens of the embassy building were activated. No information regarding the attackers or the damage dealt in the area has been shared yet.

More than 70 attacks were carried out on bases where US-led international coalition forces are located in Iraq and Syria after Israel launched its attacks on Gaza. Most of them were claimed by a group called the Iraqi Islamic Resistance.
