Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Hassan Shaybani held a joint press conference in Moscow, where Lavrov stated, “Russia wishes for Syria’s full normalization and will cooperate closely to support stability and unity.” He condemned Israel’s repeated attacks on Syria and called for the lifting of all sanctions on Damascus.
Shaybani emphasized that Syria is “benefiting from past lessons” and is seeking to build a new era of international partnerships. He stressed that Syria’s cooperation with Russia will be central to its reconstruction and political transition.
