A total of 120 soldiers were returned to Russia and Ukraine as part of the prisoner exchange negotiations. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 60 Russian soldiers in danger of being killed have been returned. Russian Aerospace Forces planes will transport the released Russian soldiers to Moscow for treatment and rehabilitation, the ministry said.
Andriy Yermak, Head of Ukraine’s President’s Office, made the following statement on behalf of Ukraine regarding the prisoner exchange: “60 defenders, 58 men and 2 women, are returning home on Armed Forces Day.” 14 of the returning soldiers, according to Yermak, were Azovtsal defenders.
