The Russian army targeted the town of Dobropillia in eastern Donetsk and Bogodukhiv, a city in Kharkiv, with ballistic missiles during the night, said the Ukrainian Emergency Service.
The attack in Dobropillia killed 11 people, injured 30 and damaged 8 apartments, an administrative building and 30 vehicles. Meanwhile, a building was hit in Bogodukhiv, killing at least 3 and injuring 7.
The attacks came after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he was working to accelerate the peace talks with the United States.
