Russia bombed a historical monastery in Ukraine

The Russian-Ukrainian war has been going on since February 24. The Russian army has recently attacked a historical monastery in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. After the attack on the “All Saints Monastery” in the Svyatohirsk Lavra in the Donetsk region, no clear statement has been made yet regarding the loss of life and the injured at the incident. Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the responsibility belongs to the Ukrainian army.

On the other hand, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement about the attack. “Russian artillery struck the Svyatohirsk Lavra in the Donetsk region again today. Destroyed All Saints Monastery. On Wednesday, Russian shells exploded in the cells of the monastery’s monks. 4 people were killed and 4 others were seriously injured. We expect a logical and fair response from the UN and UNESCO. Russia’s isolation must be complete, it must be held accountable for its crimes,” President Zelensky said.
