Ukraine says Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault using 470 drones, 47 ballistic missiles, and one cruise missile. Ten people were killed in Ternopil and 37 injured, including 12 children.
Kharkiv was also hit, injuring 46 people and damaging dozens of buildings and vehicles. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said energy and transport infrastructure in multiple regions was targeted and called for tougher sanctions and increased air-defense support.
Romania reported a drone briefly entering its airspace, prompting Eurofighter and F-16 jets to take off. Poland also raised its air defenses as a precaution.
