Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia is open to peace talks with Ukraine but insisted that all of Moscow’s war objectives must be met. Speaking to Indian media, he said Russia “values peace” and hopes US mediation will be effective, but negotiations must address the “root causes” that led to the war.
Peskov also confirmed that US envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump advisor Jared Kushner will meet President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, calling the meeting an “important step toward a peaceful solution.”
