The Russian army used a “Caliber” cruise missile to target the 95th Brigade Base in Jitomir, 140 kilometers from Kyiv, Ukraine. According to Anton Gerashenko, Ukraine’s Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs, fire broke out in the houses surrounding the military base following the attack. Four people were killed in the attack, one of whom was a child.
At least 18 people were injured when two passenger trains collided on a suburban line between Slovakia’s capital, Bratislava, and the nearby town of Pezinok. The injured were taken to four hospitals under Bratislava University Hospital.
Authorities said the cause of the crash remains under investigation, and Slovak Railways has launched an inquiry. The incident follows another train accident in eastern Slovakia last month that injured 20 people.
