Four Kalibr type cruise missiles were launched from the frigate of the Russian Navy stationed in the Black Sea to the territory of Ukraine. The missiles reportedly targeted Ukraine’s military infrastructure. Russian Ministry of Defense shared the images of the missile attack.
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Ersin Tatar strongly responded to Greek Cypriot criticism of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s planned May 3 visit to the TRNC, calling the remarks “nonsense” and asking, “Who are you to criticize my President?” Speaking at an economic meeting with Turkish tradesmen in Kyrenia, Tatar emphasized Türkiye’s historic and ongoing support for Turkish Cypriots. He rejected Greek Cypriot calls for a federal solution and said Türkiye’s presence secures Turkish Cypriot rights in the region.
