Russian scientists have successfully cultivated watermelons in the world’s coldest place, Antarctica’s Vostok station, under a project called “Rastenia”. The feat was achieved in a specially constructed greenhouse over 103 days. The project provides not only scientific value and fresh produce, but also has a positive impact on the emotional well-being of polar researchers stationed in harsh conditions.

The human cost of Israel’s airstrikes on Iran is becoming clearer. According to Iranian media, 78 people were killed and 329 injured in the attacks on Tehran. The East Azerbaijan Province Crisis Management Directorate reported that 5 people were killed and 12 injured in Tabriz.
