Russia launched drone and missile attacks on Ukraine’s capital Kiev, killing at least 2 and injuring 54, including a pregnant woman and six children, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
The Kiev Military Administration reported widespread damage to homes, vehicles, and commercial buildings. Missile and drone debris was found across the city. Authorities confirmed 38 people were hospitalized, and search and rescue operations are ongoing.
The strikes come amid ongoing but stalled hopes for a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.
