Russian forces launched attacks on infrastructure in Ukraine, targeting a fuel depot in the Ternopil region in the west and an energy facility in the northern Sumi region. The attack on Ternopil caused a massive fire, which was controlled by over 90 emergency workers using 21 fire engines. Residents were urged to stay indoors due to heavy black smoke.
In Sumi, the strike on a power plant led to a major fire, leaving 72 settlements and over 18,500 people without electricity. Ukrainian forces managed to intercept three ballistic missiles and 25 of 26 drones launched by Russia in attacks across nine regions.
