Russia’s Siberia Freezes, Moscow Covered in Snow

 

Russia’s winter onset brings bone-chilling temperatures across the nation. Siberia’s Yakutia region experienced sub-minus 50 temperatures, plunging to minus 56 in Oymyakon. The Russian Meteorological Service predicts escalating frost in European Russia, the Urals, and Siberia. Moscow was draped in 35-centimeter snow, causing flight delays, as temperatures are expected to plummet to about minus 20 degrees this week.
