Karabük province’s Safranbolu district, famous for its historical inns, baths, and mansions built during the Ottoman period, has been experiencing the busiest days of its history since the beginning of Eid al-Fitr, a Muslim holiday that begins after Ramadan month. Apart from observing the magnificent architectural structure of the district, visitors enjoy trying local tastes such as Turkish delight, baklava, and local soda served on the streets.
In addition to being a UNESCO Heritage City, Safranbolu district is one of the 28 districts in Türkiye with the Cittaslow certificate.
