Six cars, two passenger buses, and two trucks collided on the highway between Colima and Guadalajara City due to a sandstorm. Seven injured people were hospitalized. Local authorities advised citizens to be more careful in traffic and to stop their vehicles for a while if necessary.
The sandstorms, which have emerged frequently in recent days, are due to the drought in the country.
