Sandstorm hits Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh

A massive sandstorm hit Al-Sulayl Governorate, south of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, engulfing the city in heavy dust clouds that hampered visibility, affected temperatures, and caused significant traffic delays. The Saudi Civil Defense Forces urged citizens to take safety precautions and to drive slowly and with headlights on at all times. People with respiratory conditions were advised to avoid going outside.
