US based Maxar Technologies made available a handout satellite images of the 64-kilometer-long Russian army convoy moving toward to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. The convoy includes armored vehicles, tanks and artillery.
Russia launched attack on Ukraine on February 24, triggering a series of severe sanctions imposed by Western countries.
Seven prisons across France were targeted in overnight attacks, with vehicles set ablaze and a prison gate hit by automatic gunfire. Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin said the attacks aimed to intimidate inmates and disrupt the government’s anti-drug efforts. No group has claimed responsibility. Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau vowed a “ruthless” response, while prison unions called the incidents “extremely serious” and demanded urgent action. Facilities in Toulon, Marseille, Nîmes, and near Paris were among those attacked.
