The flood, which has resulted in the deaths of 6,000 people and the disappearance of 10,000 others, was caused by heavy rainfall and the failure of two dams. The images, captured on September 2 and September 12, vividly depict the extensive destruction in the city of Derna caused by the catastrophic flood.
