Due to increasing costs of production and storage costs and higher temperatures, Spain is experiencing ice shortage. Supermarkets and cold beverage sellers fail to fulfill the demands of consumers that are exhausted from temperatures.
The main reason behind the shortage is described as manufacturers halting production during previous winter to reduce their costs. However, with Spain experiencing a 3 to 6 centigrade increase on this summer’s temperatures, the manufactured ice became inefficient to fulfill consumer’s demands which increased by 30%.
