A shooting at a secondary school in Graz, Austria, left 10 people dead, including the attacker, and several others injured. Police launched an operation after gunfire was reported and confirmed that students and teachers were among the wounded.
Graz Mayor Elke Kahr said the suspect died by suicide. Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker called it a national tragedy, mourning the young victims and their teacher.
Local media reported the attacker was a 22-year-old former student, but officials have not confirmed the identity.
