An armed attack on the Central VPA High School in the St. Louis city of Missouri state killed 3 and injured 7. There were nearly 380 students at the moment of the attack and the school doors were locked up before the incident. Police stated that the attacker, who appears to be about 20 years old, was killed during a gun battle.
The 7 casualties, who survived the attack, continue to be treated at a hospital. Eyewitnesses said that they survived because the gun of the attacker jammed.
Last May, 19 students and 2 teachers were killed in another armed attack on a school in Uvalde, Texas.
