Due to heavy rain on Tuesday, classes at public and private schools in the Muscat governorate were canceled, according to Oman’s official news agency ONA. Civil defense and ambulance authorities in Muscat received 30 rain-related reports and rescued 51 people trapped by rain with no casualties, according to the ONA.
An air depression will continue to affect the country until Thursday morning, bringing rain to several areas, including Muscat.
