A bomb attack was carried out during Friday prayers at the Kocha Risaldar Mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan, killing at least 30 and injuring more than 50 others, Pakistani police announced. The attack began after two gunmen opened fire on the police outside the mosque. One attacker and a police officer lost their lives, 2 police officers were injured, the chief of police said. It was recorded that the other attacker, who later entered the mosque, detonated the bomb on him, causing an explosion inside the mosque.
The injured people were taken to hospitals, and 10 of them were reported to be in critical condition. Police cordoned off the area and an investigation was launched into the incident.
