Second meteorite has seen in a month in the Guadalajara city in Mexico’s Jalisco state. University of Guadalajara Institute of Astronomy and Meteorology Professor Gerardo Ramos confirmed the object burned in the sky was a meteorite, and the meteorite was completely disintegrated due to friction before falling to the earth. Ramos stated that with his calculations, he reached the conclusion that the meteorite was about 40 centimeters in diameter and it was moving at a speed of 40 km/s (144.000 km/h).

Ramos pointed out that the meteorite event is experienced frequently and stated that tons of meteorites reach the Earth from space every day, but it isn’t possible for us to see all of them with the naked eye. The meteorites can be noticed more at night because the sky is very bright during daytime, according to Ramos. On the other hand in Mexico, a meteorite was last seen in the city of Monterrey on December 23, and the meteorite floating in the sky in flames was recorded by the people around the area.
